I won't give up on this until I've exhausted every option I can, or someone from MS or Cyberlink comes out and says that it's never going to work. The way I see it is that it worked in an older build, and considering all the weirdness of codecs being disabled and such in the interim builds, there is most likely a way to get this to work. I'm well aware the format is dead and all, and I have a standalone player I could use if I wanted to. has already started their Red2Blu scheme. The next best thing is to trade-in your HD-DVDs for their BluRay version via the various schemes that are supposedly starting this year - Warner Bros. My best advice is buy a standalone player to remove the worry about software incompatibilities. As HD-DVD is now obsolete, you are going to have problems using them in the future as the format is simply not supported.
